How the message was opened

Nine conversations, from a Pharisee who came at night to a king in a Roman hearing room. Jesus, Peter, Philip and Paul are talking about the same thing every time, and they almost never begin it the same way: a drink of water, a scroll already open, a crowd’s accusation, an altar in Athens. Three come from the Gospels and six from Acts. Three rounds match each conversation to who was listening, where it began, and what the speaker could assume.
