1 Thessalonians

Paul had to leave Thessalonica in a hurry and has been anxious about the congregation ever since. Timothy's report is good, and the letter is largely relief and affection. Its distinctive concern is a pastoral one: the church is grieving members who died before Christ returned and fears they have missed out.
