Hebrews

Hebrews reads more like a sermon than a letter, and the word better runs through its argument. Its readers are under pressure and drifting back toward what they came from. So the writer works through Israel's worship, the priesthood, tabernacle, covenant, and sacrifice, and shows each one fulfilled and surpassed.
