Judges

Judges runs a cycle: Israel abandons the LORD, an oppressor arrives, the people cry out, a deliverer is raised up, and there is peace until the deliverer dies. Each turn of the wheel is worse than the last, and the deliverers themselves degrade from Othniel to Samson.
