Leviticus

Exodus leaves God dwelling in the middle of the camp, and Leviticus takes up the question that raises, which is how an unholy people can survive living so close to him. Its answer is a system in which offerings deal with sin and thanksgiving and priests mediate, while distinctions keep the holy apart from the common.
