Luke

Luke states his method in the first four verses: he has investigated and is writing it down in order. What he chooses to include shapes the Gospel — the shepherds rather than the magi, Mary's song about the powerful pulled down, and parables found nowhere else, including the good Samaritan and the prodigal son.
