Obadiah

Edom descended from Esau, Jacob's brother, which makes its behaviour at Jerusalem's fall a family betrayal rather than ordinary hostility. Obadiah indicts the pride of a nation that thought its cliff fortresses put it beyond reach — and gloated, looted, and cut off the escaping.
