Covenant

The Bible's story moves forward by covenants. There is a covenant with Noah for the earth, with Abraham for a people, at Sinai for a nation, and with David for a throne. Jeremiah promised a new covenant, and it was claimed at the Last Supper. This new covenant does what the old could not.
