The exodus pattern

The Passover and the sea are told once and then remembered everywhere: the prophets promise a new exodus, Matthew reads Jesus's return from Egypt through Hosea, Luke calls Jesus's death an 'exodus', and Paul calls Him our Passover lamb. To know the first exodus is to have the key to the rest.
