Angels and the powers

Scripture speaks of angels and of the devil less often than popular imagination does, and almost never for their own sake. They appear as servants and as enemies inside the story of what God is doing. Scripture names a few of these beings, gives the enemy several names, and announces Christ's victory over the powers.
