The church

Ecclesiology asks what the church is, who belongs to it, how it is ordered, and what it does when it gathers. More of Christianity's visible divisions run through this academy than any other: baptism, the Lord's Supper, and who may lead. The shared ground is still larger than the differences, and both are set out here.
