Offices and qualifications

The New Testament names overseers (episkopoi), elders (presbyteroi) and deacons (diakonoi). In Titus 1:5–7 and in Paul's address to the Ephesian elders (Acts 20:17, 28), the words elder and overseer are used of the same people.
