What the outsiders wrote

Within about eighty years of the crucifixion, a Roman historian, a provincial governor and a Jewish historian all mention Jesus or his followers. These references get quoted in both directions: as proof that the Gospels are corroborated, and as proof that they are not. Both overstate.
