The Tabernacle

Everything that follows is a copy of this. A tent thirty cubits long, standing inside a linen-walled courtyard, carried in pieces through the wilderness and set up again wherever Israel stopped. Its plan is the plan of both temples: an outer court where an Israelite could stand, an inner room only priests entered, and behind a woven veil a windowless cube that held one object.
